The Sports & Remedial Therapies Council (SRTC) is an independent, not for profit, professional forum comprising professional associations that represent professional sports and remedial therapists who are qualified, experienced, insured and regulated.
The SRTC is recognised by the UK’s official regulator for sports therapists, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), as the governing body for sports therapy. The CNHC is supported and funded by the Department of Health.
The SRTC aims to:
To work with the Regulator, educational and training establishments and employers to ensure high standards of training and practice are maintained
Develop the core curricula for sports and remedial therapies on the Qualifications and Credit Framework from Levels 3 to 8
Accredit training providers and courses that meet the core curricula
Work towards protection of title for sports and remedial therapists.
The SRTC works as a collaborative group of experts to support and advise sports and remedial therapists and stakeholders.
